What we do

Asetos supplies optical transceivers, PCIe network cards and direct attach cables to network operators across the continent. We carry SFP, SFP+, SFP28, QSFP+, QSFP28 and XFP modules from 1G to 400G, in both factory-new and professionally refurbished condition, held in our Johannesburg warehouse and flown to Kenya overnight by DHL.

Why every refurbished module is bench-tested

Most transceiver problems are not manufacturing faults; they are mismatches. Wrong vendor coding, an SR module on single-mode fibre, a 10G-only part in a switch expecting auto-negotiation. These are cheap to catch on a bench and expensive to discover on a site visit, which is why every refurbished module we ship is powered up and link-tested in hardware that matches the platform it is going to. New stock arrives factory sealed and we ship it on unopened, so for those we check the part number and its factory coding against your platform instead.

New and refurbished, same warranty

Refurbished optics are one of the best-value purchases in networking. A bench-tested, graded module performs identically to a new one at a fraction of the cost, and there is no moving part to wear out. We back new and refurbished stock with the same 12-month warranty because we have the same confidence in both.

Who we supply

Internet service providers, banks, data centres, hospitals, universities, government and system integrators. We handle both single-module orders and full project bills of materials with staged delivery.

Asetos Computers is the Kenyan arm of the Asetos group, an IT hardware and asset-disposition business based in Johannesburg. That gives us access to a much larger pool of enterprise networking stock than our Kenyan listings alone suggest; if you need a part we have not listed, ask.
